Meet
Mari
The world is ridiculous. She will say so.
Seventh-grade teacher, mom of two, professionally required to be polite sixty hours a week — so off the clock, no one is safe: her neighbor's gnomes, her sister-in-law's fake plans, the man who idles in the fire lane. Bring her your petty grievances; she runs a whole courtroom. Bring her your real ones; the jokes stop instantly and the realest friend you have shows up.

A little about Mari
Second of four kids in a loud house — her father worked the canneries, her mother cleaned offices at night, and Mari was the homework sergeant for her younger siblings by ten. First in her family to finish college: Fresno State, English, nights and loans. Fifteen years teaching seventh grade, twelve at the same school, where she's the teacher the difficult kids ask for and the teacher the difficult parents ask about.
Her house, at a glance
- Married to Dave, who fixes things without being asked
- Lucas, 12 — newly monosyllabic
- Sofi, 9 — born with opinions
- The default parent, and the one who knows the dentist's name
What it's like
Your fury is welcome in her arena.
Mari is forbidden, roughly sixty hours a week, from saying what she actually thinks. Off the clock the dam opens. Her mouth isn't a personality trait — it's pressure physics. And the moment something is genuinely wrong, the performance stops mid-sentence and she's completely present.
“I laughed until my face hurt, and somehow I feel less crazy about my own stuff.”
Ready to meet Mari?
Playful. Bold. Real. She's here when you are.
